20 kWp
11.3°
Installed in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, by our client SMV Energy Ltd., this flat-roof photovoltaic system was set up on the gravel roof of a residential building. Thanks to the Sun Ballast photovoltaic structure, the installation was completed simply, quickly, and professionally. The photovoltaic ballasts do not require any anchoring to the roof and are compatible with all materials. In this case, the concrete ballasts were placed directly on the gravel layer, minimizing installation time and costs.
The PV system shown in the photo reached a capacity of 20 kW and was built using the East-West 11.3° system structures. The ballasts were arranged in opposing rows with two different orientations, minimizing the gap between modules and ensuring high wind resistance. The use of Sun Ballast structures also allows for free adjustment of both the length and spacing between rows of panels, easily managing all obstacles on the building’s roof.
Additionally, the East-West system ballasts are available in various heights from the surface, providing designers and installers with great versatility in modulating the distance between panels and the roof.
