This photovoltaic system with an impressive capacity of 750 kW was installed in Ventimiglia (IM) by Granda Tecnoimpianti Srl, with design support provided by STP Progetti Srl and our Technical Office. The use of Sun Ballast mounting systems for flat roof applications allowed for an easy and fast installation at every stage.

The Single-Row 5° system – also available in a range of tilt angles including 0°, 3°, 10°, 15°, 20°, and 30° – enabled the installation of the modules with no roof penetration whatsoever. The Sun Ballast concrete blocks used for photovoltaic applications are simply placed on the surface, eliminating the need to drill into the roof membrane (in this case, a bituminous membrane), thereby minimizing time, costs, and complexity, and avoiding all risks related to penetration on the cover.

With the Single-Row system, both the length and the spacing between rows are fully adjustable. This key feature simplifies the design and installation process, especially in the presence of multiple roof obstacles such as chimneys, air conditioning units, safety lines, etc.

The Single-Row mounting system allows the panels to be installed either horizontally on the short side or, as in this project, vertically on the long side. It is fully compatible with all Sun Ballast accessories, such as the 30 kg U-Block concrete weights visible in the photos. The solution ensures excellent weight distribution, stability, and wind resistance, making it ideal for flat roofs on both residential buildings and industrial buildings.
