This 20 kW photovoltaic plant was installed in Sardinia using Sun Ballast support structures. Thanks to the East-West 15° mounting system, the installation was not only easy and fast, but the available surface area was fully maximized.

Sun Ballast concrete ballasts are simply placed on the building coverage without any penetration on the cover, and can be used on any surface material, including membranes, pavement, green roofs, and gravel.

The concrete ballasts, arranged in opposing rows with an East-West orientation, help minimize shading, allowing for reduced spacing between panel rows and thus optimised space usage on the roof. The East-West racking systems are modular and can be configured with various support structures depending on project requirements. They are available in a range of tilt angles from 3° to 30°.

As with all Sun Ballast products, these ballasts come pre-equipped with M8 threaded bushings for secure fixation of clamps and include a metal core/rebar-reinforced bar for additional strength and stability.
