Designed to offer a simple solution suitable for any need, Sun Ballast’s ballasted photovoltaic structures ensure an easy and fast installation on any flat roof. This 6 kW system was installed in the province of Syracuse (Melilli), and thanks to the concrete ballasts, the installation phases were completed quickly and without any mounting difficulties. Sun Ballast ballasts serve both as weight and support, eliminating the need for any complex metal components.
The Sun Ballast systems are installed without any type of anchoring holes in the roof — a major advantage, especially when, as in this case, the paved surface could be damaged by potential perforations. The 10° Single-Row system used in this installation — also available in 0°, 5°, 15°, 20°, and 30° tilt angles — offers the ability to freely adjust the spacing between module rows, making the management of any obstacles much simpler and faster.
These ballasts are also compatible with numerous accessories, like those visible at the rear of the structures. The concrete cable duct — Cablowind — serves a dual function as both additional weight and a channel for electrical cables, optimizing both wind resistance and the visual impact of the installation. Additional U-Block weights can be placed directly on the ballasts or on the Cablowind itself, quickly increasing the structural hold at specific points.
