This photovoltaic system – installed on the flat roof of a building in Switzerland – was built with the concrete ballast of the EasyWest system, a revolutionary solution that allows the installation of photovoltaic systems with an East-West orientation using panels of all sizes.
Like all Sun Ballast photovoltaic structures, the components of the EasyWest system act both as weight and support for the modules, already containing M8 bushings for the fixation of the panels, and require no anchoring holes: they are simply placed, making all handling and maintenance steps much easier and faster.
The EasyWest system also features fixation at four points along the long side, with a 10° tilt: a characteristic that not only provides the panels – both standard-sized and those over 2 meters long – with excellent wind resistance but also allows all the photovoltaic ballasts to be interconnected in a single collaborative network, reducing loads on the roof, distributing them across the entire surface, and ensuring the highest level of stability.
The dual orientation of the modules makes it possible to fully utilize all available space, while the special PowerClamp steel brackets – also serving as an electrical bridge between the panels – make grounding simpler and faster.
